A KOTOBUKIYA Japanese import! Kotobukiyas latest addition to the ARTFXJ Statue lineup is a throwback to an early and ground-breaking science-fiction novel/manga/anime series that remains popular the world over, Heldensagen Vom Kosmosinsel (Legend of the Galactic Heroes). In the far future a massive civil war splits humanity into two interstellar states, each led by a military genius. The admiral of the Free Planets Alliance Star Fleet is the first character from the franchise to be recreated in ARTFXJ form (and the first figure of this character ever made!): YANG WEN-LI! An historian turned soldier, Yang was given command very early on once his brilliance was clearly established, and he proves to be a formidable opponent for his counterpart Reinhard of the Galactic Empire. The unassuming and humble Yang Wen-li stands in a relaxed pose, one leg bent slightly as he reaches up to adjust his cap. He wears his Star Fleet uniform consisting of black shoes, tan trousers and shirt, and olive hat and jacket. The latter is decorated with rank insignia and patches while all of the clothing features amazing sculpted elements like seams, buttons, lifelike creases, and more. With one hand in his pocket Yang turns his upper body to the left, cocking his head with an innocent expression on his handsome face and the tendrils of his blue hair slipping out from underneath his small cap. Sculpted by Tsukuru Shirahige, Yang Wen-li stands just under 9 inches tall (1/8 scale) atop a specially designed display base. The heroic admiral will look great on display by himself or alongside other upcoming Legend of the Galactic Heroes ARTFXJ Statues from Kotobukiya!
